昔々あるカレーのお店に
1人の女将がいた。

その人は4人の男を産み、育てて、かつ、カレーのお店も切り盛りしているパワフルで勤勉な人だったそうだ。

その人のことを知る人は
こういうエピソードがあると
話してくれた。

当時はお客さんが
家から鍋を持ってきて
そこにカレーを継ぎ足す商売だった。
そのお客さんの鍋を
商品を入れる前必ず
ピカピカにしてから
渡すのが日課だった。
と。

それが話題を集め
一躍地元で有名になったそうだ。

たった1人のお客さんに対しても
ぬかりなく丁寧に丁寧に磨き上げるその姿は
さぞかし輝いて見えただろう。

人のために何かをすることは
素敵なことなんだと
そのエピソードを聞いて
感銘を受けた。

ひいおばあちゃんの話。
